Meet Zach

The Traveler

We continue to add to the group in Lexington! Our most recent addition is Zach!

Zach is from Richmond, Kentucky. He was in the industry in 2020, and after a couple years away, has decided to jump back in with both feet! He is excited to be back and to get the ball rolling again.

Everyone is motivated by different people, things, and events, but for Zach, it’s rather simple. His motivation is girlfriend of seven years, Lexi. “I just want to make her life as simple as it can possible be and to continue making life long memories with her,” Zach shared. Zach also has a dog (who maybe isn’t as much as his motivation, but just a friend)!

Zach has only been with us for a couple of months, but one thing stands out to him above everything else. “The thing I enjoy most about PGT is by far the people they surround you with,” he explained. “Everyone has their own personality and it is great to be around.” Zach also appreciates what the management team has done to make sure he has everything he needs to be successful.

Fun Fact: Zach’s favorite thing to do is travel. He has been to almost every state in the US!

Welcome to the team, Zach! We look forward to all your success!

Meet Dallas

Another One in Lexington

We recently have started building quite the team in Lexington, Kentucky. First was Lucio, next was Dallas! Let’s introduce you to Dallas this time!

Dallas is from Paris, Kentucky. He has been in the industry for about two years. He married his wife Madison in December 2021. Together they have two dogs, Scooby & MJ, and one cat, Remi.

It’s all pretty simple for Dallas- he wants to be the best husband, brother, son, and friend possible. That’s his motivation every day. He takes pride in being someone that others can look up to.

Like a lot of people in our office, he’s an avid sports fans. His favorite team is the Boston Celtics. Dallas also enjoys coaching sports to help others grow in skill and to share his passion with them.

In his time at PGT, even from a short distance, Dallas has enjoyed the environment created here. “Everybody is willing to step in and help anyone else on the team. There’s a lot of experience and knowledge within the company and I look forward to becoming the best sales manager I can possibly be,” he shared. “I can already tell it is a place you can have a career rather than just a job!”

Welcome to the team, Dallas! We are happy to have you!

Meet Chad W

Hoosier Farm Boy to GM

We have introduced you to several new associates over the last few weeks, so it’s time we just let them introduce themself! So here’s what our new General Manager of Operational Excellence, Chad W, had to say!

I have been married for ten years and have two boys and a girl, ages 14, 10 and 8. I was born and raised in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and attended Indiana University in Bloomington. I started my career in sales while at IU at an auto dealership and then started as a mortgage broker in 2003. The next year, I took a chance on a job offer, found a roommate, and moved to Chicago where I became the Vice President of Sales at that mortgage company. I was later asked to move to Tampa, Florida to open and grow a branch for the company. In 2012, I was recruited into the logistics industry where my experience in the mortgage industry paid off and it didn’t take me long to see success. I have been in the industry ever since.

I grew up on a 200 acre farm until I was twelve years old. I am the oldest of seven. I was an athlete my entire life, but started coaching my youngest siblings at an early age. I really enjoyed coaching and helping younger kids learn and appreciate all sports because you can help them set a good foundation. I’m a huge combat sports fan and I’ve also trained in several different forms of mixed martial arts!

I pride myself in my ability to adapt and communicate with others. I always strive to find the best in every situation and appreciate the simple things. My family is my motivation. They push me to want to be a better person and are a constant force encouraging me not to settle for average and to use my God given abilities.

While my tenure here at PGT has just begun, I am highly confident I’m going to enjoy the team atmosphere! It is clear that everyone has the opportunity to make a great living for themselves, so I look forward to getting to know everyone at a deeper level to be able to push them to achieve their goals together! The mixture of opportunity and pay structure that PGT offers is hands down the best I’ve seen!

Welcome to the team, Chad!

Meet Dustin

The Gamer

It doesn’t seem to be slowing down over here! Growth is the name of the game. Today’s blog will introduce you to one of our newest Logistics Coordinators, Dustin!

Dustin is from Dry Ridge, Kentucky. He went to Union College and has been in the logistics industry for seven years. He has a beautiful wife, two daughters, and two dogs.

At PGT, we like results-oriented people, and Dustin is one of them. He prides himself on his ability to assess a situation and get results! He loves to over achieve and improve himself daily.

He hasn’t been at PGT long, but the one thing he has enjoyed the most in his time here is the atmosphere. “Everyone is a team player, but competitive at the same time,” Dustin explained. “It’s been easy to get to know others in the office and build those relationships!”

Fun Fact: Dustin played college and semi-pro soccer! He also is the co-owner of an E-Sports organization!

Welcome to the team, Dustin! We are excited for your future!

Meet Jacob

The Outdoorsy Guy

If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it twice…and maybe three or four times at that! We are on a roll hiring exceptional people! (Not to toot our own horn or anything!) Add Jacob to that mix of great additions to our team!

Jacob is a Kentucky native. He is from Lexington but currently lives in Northern Kentucky. He attended the University of Kentucky and is a die-hard Wildcat fan.

He joined our team with about a year of experience in the industry, but a year is all he’s needed to pick up on all the ins and outs of logistics. He has a background in freight brokering and coordinating various aspects of logistics. Jacob is one of our newest logistics coordinators!

Even in a short time, Jacob has proven to be an asset to our team. He takes great pride in his determined work ethic, professional communication, attention to detail, interpersonal relationship building, and being a life-long learner.

“Working at PGT is enjoyable because of the opportunity to solve problems as a close-knit team and to help others,” Jacob shared. “It is a fast-paced working environment where others are going to support you and help you become better!”

In his free time, Jacob loves being outdoors doing almost anything- running, hiking, climbing, you name it- and cooking!

Fun Facts: Jacob has completed three half marathons, a triathlon, hiked the Swiss Alps, and has visited 13 National Parks and counting! (We weren’t kidding with the title of this blog!)

We are thrilled to have Jacob on our team and look forward to his ongoing contributions!

Meet Alexis

From the West to the Midwest

We weren’t kidding when we said we were hiring all kinds of top notch people!

Meet Alexis, our newest administrator! She is a jack-of-all-trades kind of girl and has been a great asset to the company since she started earlier this year!

Alexis is from the central coast of California, but recently moved to Cincinnati to be closer to her family. She went to Fresno State where she earned a degree in Marketing. She loves being here because she gets to see her two little nephews much more frequently! In her free time, Alexis enjoys hiking, kayaking, and exploring the cities nearby.

She hasn’t been with us too long, but she shared that really enjoys the fun, team-oriented environment. “I am looking forward to my journey here at PGT,” Alexis shared.

Fun fact: Alexis is the youngest of five kids!

It didn’t take long for her to become a valuable asset to PGT and we are very excited to see what her future here entails! Welcome to the team, Alexis!

Meet Lucio

Back to Logistics

Growth is our primary goal at PGT and the fastest way to achieving that is by hiring good people! We have done a lot of that in recent weeks!

Our most recent Account Manager is Lucio! He is from Beattyville, Kentucky but currently resides in the Lexington area. He as a beautiful wife and a four month old daughter. He got into logistics during the peak of the pandemic in 2020 and loved every minute of it.

When it is all said and done, Lucio’s motivation is his family. “I want to provide for them and push myself so we can live our best life,” he explained.

In his time at PGT, Lucio has enjoyed the atmosphere the most. “I also really appreciate that I am given all the tools I need to get back into the swing of things as quickly and efficiently as possible, he shared.

Fun Fact: Lucio is half Filipino and was born in the hills of Kentucky. Laughing, he stated, “it’s a really weird blend of cultures!”

We are happy to have Lucio on our team and look forward to his long, successful career at PGT!

Meet Chris

Proud Marine

Our team continues to grow because of the success of those already here! Chris is one of the newest members of our team. He joined PGT as a Logistics Coordinator and has definitely hit the ground running at full speed!

Chris grew up in Wilmington, Ohio and graduated from Wilmington High School. He went on to join the Marine Corps after graduating where he dedicated 12 years of honorable service while stationed in Okinawa, Japan, Quantico, VA, and Camp Pendleton, California. Chris was deployed multiple times and had one combat deployment to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).

During that time, Chris married his wife Marissa. They have been happily married for 13 years. They have two daughters and a son together: Adalynn, Temperance, & Mathias. Fun fact: all three kids were born in different states (Virginia, California & Ohio)! He has been in the logistics industry for over 15 years in a variety of roles and positions.

The Marine Corps values of Honor, Courage, & Commitment are the core values that Chris hangs his hat on to this day. He is a firm believer of “family over everything” because they are his motivation to be the best he can be. Ultimately, he wants to be a good role model for his kids to emulate.

In his time at PGT, Chris has been as successful as anyone. He shared that he really enjoys “the team atmosphere and collaboration amongst everyone.” He likes being part of a smaller, growing company.

Welcome to the team, Chris! We can’t wait to see how far you can go!

Meet Kadie

Our Newest LC

Chase continues to grow his account and relationships with his customers, so it’s only fitting that we added a logistics coordinator to his account. Insert Kadie into the picture!

Kadie joined our team earlier this month. She is from Williamsburg, Ohio. She attended college at Ashland University & University of Cincinnati where she played volleyball. She enjoys the single, kid-free lifestyle with her two dogs, Booger and Daisy.

The industry is nothing new to her. Kadie has been in logistics for over four years. She attributes a lot of her success to her ability to learn and take criticism as well as her motivation to do well and make as much money as possible.

Fun Fact: Kadie used to live in Alaska and she is a former police office! (How cool!)

Since joining our team, Kadie has loved that everyone is so helpful. “I have been able to ask anyone for help and no one hesitates to help,” she shared. “Everyone here is super nice and so helpful!”

Welcome to the PGT family, Kadie!

Meet Sam C

Southern Illinois to Ohio

Last month, we added another Sam to our team…because, you know, two wasn’t enough! Sam C came to us via referral and we are excited to see all he achieves here!

Sam C is from Southern Illinois but over time, his family slowly migrated east to Ohio. He graduated from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville with an English degree. The original plan was to teach at the university level, but instead, his journey led him to take a break from school and he ended up teaching abroad for four years.

Everyone has different motivations in life! Sam is motivated by serving his community. He enjoys volunteer that gets him out of his normal routine because it gives him the opportunity to work with and meet new people.

In his time at PGT, Sam has enjoyed the small, diverse team the best. “Everyone is quick to help at work and there is camaraderie after hours for a couple beers or a weekend card game.”

Welcome to the team, Sam!
